Kraft Heinz is investing $ 3 billion in modernization of US factories

KETCHUP and Food Manufacturer Kraft Heinz announces a $ 3 billion investment to re-equip 30 US factories. This is the largest investment in the company's last decade. The goal is to increase production efficiency, reduce costs and accelerate new products. According to the company, the decision is partly due to the new tariffs set by President Trump.

Kraft Heinz President Pedro Navoy noted that the investment will allow the company to maintain its position in the market, despite the sale of sales and profit, the project will create about 3,500 temporary construction workstations. Navion added that almost all production is made in the United States, and the volume of imports, mainly from China, is insignificant.

The company now collides with the 10% tariff of imported goods, which, according to the management, contributed to this investment decision, Rurters reports.
