The judge criticizes Trump administration

US Regional Judge Paula Xinis said that Trump's administration did not provide sufficient details to explain how the court's decision is made to ensure the return of Maryland's Krmar Abrego Garcio. He was deported by mistake and was held in Salvador prison. The statement of the US Internal Security Secretary of Kristie Noem was presented in court, according to which Garcia "will never return to the United States, which calls Xinis as a confession of possible illegality.

The administration tried to keep the information closed, referring to state secrets, but Xinis said that such grounds were not presented. Garcia's lawyers have condemned such an approach, ignoring the court decision, Reuters reports.

The case arose after Garcia was deported despite the defense decision. The judge expects the administration to express additional evidence. However, the case has caused concern over the readiness of the administration to ignore the judiciary.
