A magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook the US state of Tennessee. According to the US Geological Service (USGS), the shocks were felt in a wide range, including in the Western and other areas of Atlanta, North Carolina, the Associated Press reports.
According to the US Geological Site on the website, the epicenter was reported about 20 kilometers from Noxwil to 48 kilometers south of Noxvil. The underground shocks were recorded in the eastern time after 9:00 pm Moscow time at 17:00.
Spokesman for the US Geological Service Ayesha Davis said that during the first hour after the earthquake, the service received more than 23,000 calls from the public.
