The US President sets 100% Max for foreign films

US President Donald Trump has stated that he will pay a tribute to all films produced abroad to protect local film production. According to him, the American film industry dies "very quickly", and other countries "take away" the production of subsidies. Trump instructed the Ministry of Commerce to launch 100% customs application process. "We want the films to be manufactured in America again," he wrote.
The mechanism of applying the planned Max is not yet clear. It is not mentioned, only the films displayed in the cinemas or also streaming platforms, Reuters reports.

The shares of major American film companies have decreased after the announcement. At the same time, the leaders of Australia and New Zealand have promised to protect their national film production. The British Union's Union, BECTU, warned that such customs can seriously damage the country's film industry, which has not yet been restored after.

Analysts also warn that the answer can be tough and "will more harmful to the United States than benefits."
