According to tradition, the Holy Gospel was taken from the Mashtotsyan Matenadaran to the Holy Theotokos Church of Yerevan in memory of Catholicos Movses Tatevatsi. The press service of Matenadaran announced.
The manuscript, which has a reputation as a petitioner and a miracle worker, was brought out with the blessing of priest Grigor Grigoryan and accompanied by the staff of the Matenadaran. The Gospel rested for several hours in the ancient church of Yerevan, which got its name from the Mighty Gospel.
The manuscript was written and illustrated in the 13th and 14th centuries in Cilicia and now has 292 parchment leaves.
