Scientists find out if there is a link between vaccination against COVID-19 and stillbirths

In a new study from Yale University and 11 other institutions, researchers found "no association between vaccination against COVID-19 and stillbirths." In the study, conducted by Dr. Anna DeNoble of Yale University School of Medicine, researchers compared 276 cases of stillbirths with 822 live births in 2021. from February 2022 during February. Their results, published in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology, found no link between pregnant women who received the COVID-19 vaccine and stillbirths. The researchers noted that while vaccine indecisiveness remains a public health issue, the results show that "vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent hospitalizations and morbidity due to COVID-19 and is recommended during pregnancy by the Centers for Disease Control and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists."
