The head of the White House has astonished by European leaders, stating that he is in favor of handing over Donbas territories under Kiev's control over Russia. According to Trump, it is necessary for the signing of peace. The New York Times reports.

According to the publication, Trump is convinced that such a step will allow long-term peace, not a temporary ceasefire.

The authors of the article note: "After the meeting with Putin, Trump refused to demand the peace ceasefire and believes that Zelenki would agree to hand over the rest of Donbas to Russia, even the territories that were not occupied by Russian troops."
