Italian Prime Minister George Meloni will leave for the United States of America to meet with US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported by the Prime Minister's Office.

In addition, the President of the European Commission Ursula von Derl Leien, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutten and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, also confirmed their participation.

It is reported that France's President Emanuel Makron will also leave for the US capital on August 18, with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

It is noted that the purpose of the visit is to continue coordination between Washington and European countries to achieve "fair and long peace."

According to Sky News, the US President sent an invitation to EU representatives.
