Biden presented Israel's proposal to end the war in the Gaza Strip

US President Joe Biden urged Hamas to accept Israel's new proposal to end the conflict in Gaza. This is reported by the BBC. The three-part proposal will begin with a 6-week cease-fire, during which the Israeli Defense Forces will withdraw from the occupied territories of Gaza. Hamas has stated that it views the proposal "positively." In his speech at the White House, Biden said , that the first phase of the proposed plan would include a full and complete cease-fire, the withdrawal of IDF forces from the occupied territories, and a hostage exchange for Palestinian prisoners. Hamas says it wants a ceasefire. This deal is a chance to prove if they really want it. The truce will allow more humanitarian aid to be delivered to the besieged area, with 600 trucks transporting aid to Gaza every day," said Biden. The US president added that all remaining hostages, including military personnel, would be returned in the second phase. According to him, at that time the truce will turn into a permanent cessation of hostilities.
