The US Secretary of State sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, noting that Washington values relations with Baku and is committed to contributing to the development of democracy, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms in that country. "Over the past 32 years, we have built a partnership based on mutual interests, particularly in the security and energy sectors. We appreciate the opportunity to deepen our involvement in these issues. it is also about more important global areas, such as climate change and the transition to green energy," the State Department said in a statement. Anthony Blinken welcomed the holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku in November. "The United States also welcomes the work being done to establish a stable and dignified peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and we are ready to support those efforts from now on to turn the page of the long-standing conflict and build a better future," the diplomat noted. According to the Secretary of State, this process will contribute to the strengthening of communication and will bring economic benefits to the entire region. Blinken also reaffirmed the United States' support for Azerbaijan's independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty.
