Colombia is holding a crucial second round of presidential elections on Sunday, a vote that is taking place amid deep political polarization and fears of a new wave of internal violence, AFP reports.
Progressive candidate Ivan Cepeda and conservative "outsider" Abelardo de la Espriela are fighting for the position of head of state.
Earlier, in the first round on May 31, both candidates were ahead of nine competitors. In the second phase, they propose drastically different strategies for governing the country in a situation where Colombia is facing security, corruption, debt burden and health crisis.
