As a result of joint operational and intelligence activities conducted by the Criminal Police Main and Kotayk Regional Departments, on October 29, around 21:30, in the village of Kanakeravan in Kotayk region, two men aged 56 and 27 were found and arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. They were taken to the Kotayk Regional Department along with a vehicle operated by the younger suspect, in which a "Kalashnikov" type assault rifle and magazines were visibly located.
At 23:00, a 42-year-old man was also located, arrested on the same suspicion, and taken to the regional department. It was found that he had also violated an administrative supervision measure.
A criminal case has been initiated. The circumstances are being clarified.
