During the race, Mark Andreasyan had a serious accident, left the track and received serious injuries. The ex-wife of the director, Alyona Andreasyan, reported about the incident, publishing terrible photos taken from the scene of the accident.
"The day I was going to go to my son's competition, but I didn't go. He survived, and I thank God for that," the boy's mother wrote.
Help arrived very quickly, and the child was promptly transferred under the supervision of doctors.
"Karting has been completely destroyed. Mark is in the hospital. I don't know where I find strength from, but, perhaps, the parental heart is boundless," said Alyona.
The star heir needed urgent surgery. Now he faces a long rehabilitation period.
"I thank everyone for the words of care and support. Mark was operated on. Metal rods were placed in the right leg, and a metal plate was placed in the left leg. Half a year of recovery is ahead. By reading books, time will pass unnoticed," added the mother.
