Switzerland has confirmed that it continues to provide a platform in Bürgenstock for secret talks between the US and Iran, saying it is providing a "discreet and reliable environment" for the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the parties. This is reported by the Reuters agency.
The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the country acts as a neutral mediator, providing organizational and diplomatic conditions for the process, but, adhering to the confidentiality regime, did not reveal any details about the composition of the participants or the content of the discussions.
It was reported earlier that Bürgenstock was chosen as the place for the implementation of the first stages of the agreements reached within the framework of the American-Iranian memorandum, after which the technical negotiations aimed at their implementation should begin.
