Telegraph. Britain has tested new long-range missiles

Great Britain has tested new long-range missiles, which may eventually be transferred to Ukraine, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The tests took place in the Hebridean islands of the Atlantic Ocean, within the framework of the second phase of the "Brakestop" project. In 2025, the British authorities selected weapons projects from three companies - MBDA UK, MGI Engineering and Rotron Aerospace - out of 27 applications.

The UK Ministry of Defense has commissioned companies to develop long-range weapon systems that can hit targets at a distance of more than 480 km, carry a 250 kg warhead and reach a speed of approximately 600 km/h. Other customer demands included approximately £400,000 ($530,000) per weapon and the ability to produce 20 such systems per month.

According to the release, all three companies' systems operated normally during the Hebridean missile test, despite minor technical issues expected under the project's "rapid fault finding" approach. The newspaper noted that the developers will now resolve the identified issues before conducting further tests.
