EU countries raise 4.8 billion euros in 2025 to buy weapons for Ukraine from the United States

Last year, EU countries allocated 4.8 billion euros to the Priority Request List for Ukraine (PURL) program, which provides for the acquisition of weapons from American stockpiles for Ukraine.


Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of Vladimir Zelensky's office, announced this.


Contributions to the PURL project. 4.8 billion euros were collected last year," he said in an interview with the RBC-Ukraine agency.


According to him, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden have allocated 584 million euros for this purpose in 2026.
