Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia. The European Union will run out of values if it does not change its course

The European Union will remain European in name only, without ideas and values, unless it radically changes its course. This was announced by the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili.

"If Brussels does not radically change its course, the European Union will remain European only in name, without ideas, values and content," Papuashvili wrote on the Facebook social network.

Papuashvili noted that exactly four months have passed since October 4, when the opposition gathered thousands of people and tried to attack the presidential palace in Tbilisi.

"During this time, one thing has already become clear: Brussels will not condemn the attack on the presidential palace," the speaker of the parliament emphasized.

Moreover, according to Papuashvili, attempts are being made to present the attack, which left more than 20 policemen injured, as a "fence issue", referring to the fence in front of the presidential residence, which the protesters broke through.
