The trade deal between the US and India also covers the purchase of products belonging to the petroleum and defense sectors, as well as pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and aviation, Reuters reported, citing an Indian government official.

Previously, US President Donald Trump announced a trade deal with India, within the framework of which the US will pay a reciprocal low tariff of 18%.

The new tariff will be the lowest among all countries in the Indian subcontinent.
