A bipartisan bill has been presented in the US Congress to impose sanctions against Turkey due to its actions in Syria, Reuters reports.
The authors of the document called "Countering Turkish Aggression Act of 2024" are two senators: Democrat Chris Van Hollen and Republican Lindsey Graham.
They stated that Washington should cooperate with Ankara for a ceasefire through diplomatic channels or threaten Turkey with sanctions.
