The collection of the Yerevan Museum of Russian Art will be presented at the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow


"Moscow-Yerevan-Moscow. The opening ceremony of the exhibition "Museum of Russian Art (Collection of Prof. A. Abrahamyan)" in Yerevan. It is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Museum of Russian Art and the 125th birthday of Aram Abrahamyan, founder of the museum, professor, doctor, labor hero of the USSR, honorary citizen of Moscow. a unique selection of the art museum's collection, aims to introduce the museum to the Moscow art-loving public, to discover the not-yet-exhibited works of famous artists in the collection of the doctor-collector.  The 2 exhibition halls include graphic and artistic works by many famous artists. The Museum of Russian Art of Yerevan presents itself to the Muscovite public with such well-known names as K. Korovin, B. Grigoriev, V. Serov, N. Roerich. Within the framework of the exhibition, a picture book was also published with the cooperation of the two museums, which is an important result of the scientific research work. Professor Abrahamyan collected both Russian and Armenian fine art works of the "Silver Age", the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The famous doctor decides to donate his collection to Armenia. As a result, in 1984 "Prof. A. H. Abrahamyan collection" museum.
