Oppositionists were detained and taken to the State Security Service in Abkhazia

Abkhaz telegram channels reported the detention of several opposition representatives. Omar Smyr, Garry Kokaya, Almaskhan Ardzinba, Ramaz Dzhopua and Aslan Gvaramia, who were returning from a public meeting in Gudauta, were detained and taken to the State Security Service, writes RESPUBLICA.

Relatives of the detainees, public and political figures are gathering at the State Security Service building, the publication writes: “There is no official information about the reasons for the detention. None of the law enforcement officers comes out to the crowd, and accordingly, no one is allowed into the State Security Service building either. The situation is heating up. Those gathered demand an explanation.” Footage of the arrest is being published on social networks.
