Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko within the COP29 climate conference in Baku.
The leaders emphasized that bilateral relations are developing successfully in all directions, mutual trade turnover has increased by 41%.
During the meeting, the parties noted that work is being done to organize the joint production of elevators for residential buildings, they referred to the cooperation of a number of sectors.
After the meeting, Lukashenko answered the question of Azerbaijani journalists, why the leaders of some countries did not want to attend the conference.
"The leaders of the Western countries who did not arrive believe that climate change will not happen. There is no need to be sad that they did not come. If they think that it will bypass the West, it will not bypass, God sees," said the President of Belarus.
