The prosecutor’s office is conducting an inspection, during which they will assess the activities of officials responsible for the maintenance and protection of an abandoned facility. "Red Triangle" is an enterprise and a monument of industrial architecture, occupying a vast area between the Obvodny Canal, Staro-Peterhofsky Avenue, Rosenshtein Street and Ivan Chernykh Street. According to data from open sources, this ensemble, which was formed in the period 1860-1917, includes more than 150 factory buildings and auxiliary buildings, some of which are objects of cultural heritage of regional significance. A number of objects on the territory of the “Red Triangle” belong to the city, others are located in private ownership. Since the bankruptcy of the plant, unused buildings have fallen into disrepair, destroyed by looters, and also suffered from fires.
