In Egypt, 16 passengers were injured as a result of a passenger train derailment at the Mahala Rouh station in the city of Tanta in the north of the country, Egypt Today reported.
The incident took place on Saturday morning with train #450 from Damanhur to Tanta, which was moving through Kalin. According to the information of the Egyptian Railways Department, when entering the station, the first train of the wagon, located immediately after the locomotive, derailed.
The victims received minor injuries. Emergency crews, cranes and technical equipment were sent to the scene to return the car to the tracks and restore traffic.
A special technical commission was created to find out the causes of the incident. His conclusions should determine the circumstances of the derailment and possible further measures.
