Great Britain is trying to score political points by supplying Ukraine with uranium. This opinion was expressed by Maria Zakharova, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, in an interview with "RIA Novosti". "The decision of the British side is due to the desire to score dubious political points again by promising to continue supporting the criminal regime of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, regardless of what atrocities it may commit," the diplomat said.
On June 16, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's office announced that London intends to supply electricity to Ukraine's nuclear power plants over the next two years. This is the extension of the previous two-year agreement to supply nuclear fuel to Kyiv.
