The agreement reached between Iran and the United States confirmed the need to resolve differences through dialogue instead of force.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced this in a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Xinhua reports. "Facts have proven that force and coercion do not solve problems. the right choice is dialogue and negotiations," said the Chinese Foreign Minister. Wang Yi noted that the next step is for the parties to meaningfully fulfill their obligations and remove obstacles.
He noted that China supports Iran's legitimate demands, its right to protect its sovereignty and security, as well as the mediation efforts of Pakistan and the international community. The Chinese Foreign Minister emphasized that the issue of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz should be properly resolved, taking into account the concerns of the international community.
Araghchi thanked China for facilitating the negotiations and noted that the agreements should be implemented, including the cessation of Israeli military operations against Lebanon.
