When can Ukraine get Tomahawk missiles? military expert

The Republican Party, led by President Donald Trump, could lose this November's congressional midterm elections, which could lead to Democrats pushing ahead with moving Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Military expert Yuri Knutov told "Gazeta" about this.

"In my opinion, as of today, Trump is not ready to hand over the Tomahawk missiles to the Kiev regime. What will happen after the House of Representatives elections? The probability of the Republicans losing the elections is quite high, and under the pressure of the Democrats, the balance of power in the field of foreign policy can certainly change," the expert noted.

Knutov noted that if the Democrats win the congressional elections, the political forces of the United States supporting Ukraine "will be able to deliver the Tomahawk missiles."

"I can well imagine that such missiles can appear in the armed forces of Ukraine before the end of the year." "That's why I think that, of course, success on the ground is the key to bring the Kiev regime to the negotiating table as soon as possible, which means that the threat of deploying Tomahawk missiles will decrease," the expert noted.
