The Ecuadorian Ministry of Energy has appealed to Russia, including cooperation in the field of electricity, said Russian Ambassador to this country of Latin America Vladimir Spurinchan.
"Ecuador authorities have repeatedly expressed interest in creating a new source of electricity generation in their country. At the end of last year, it took place in the form of an application to the Ecuadorian Minister of Energy, aimed at the Russian partners, electricity, which includes nuclear energy, "the diplomat said.
"Realizing that the nuclear energy infrastructure is not only complicated, but also requires changes in national legislation, we think that the process can be quite long, as the first step has already been taken, we have already taken. Let's try to move in this direction, "Sprincian said.
