Inside the law enforcement system, they say that Sasun Khachatryan is being transferred abroad to a diplomatic post. Sasun Khachatryan aspires to be appointed as Armenian ambassador to the USA, but this position has been occupied by Pashinyan's English teacher Lilit Makunts for more than 3 years.
Regarding this seemingly incredible appointment, it is said that he is greatly supported by Sasun Khachatryan's brother, Davit Khachaturyan, who recently became one of the judges of the Constitutional Court by the unanimous vote of the Constitutional Court, and before that, let's remind, Khachaturyan had won several high positions by stepping on a horse. He was a member of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation, before that he was a member of the Supreme Court.
Let's emphasize that Davit Khachaturyan, in addition to being the brother of Sasun Khachatryan, has been considered one of the chief curators of the Armenian office of the "Soros Foundation" in Armenia for many years. According to his position, he was already the former chairman of the board of directors of "Open Society Foundations-Armenia" before the revolution of 2018.
After Nikol Pashinyan filled the legislative and executive bodies with Sorosians, when he started to Sorosize the judicial system, in other words, Sasun Khachatryan immediately won positions, being appointed the then head of the CSI, and then he became the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee.
And here is the brother, who before the revolution had only the status of a member of the Chamber of Advocates in the field of human rights protection, got a high position in the context of the coming to power of the Sorosians, with the hard and united efforts of the CP deputies.
Time will tell why or why Makunts does not satisfy Pashinyan in his diplomatic efforts in the USA, or whether the talks of transferring Makunts to Canada with the same mission are correct.
To remind, Lilit Makunts, who held the position of Minister of Culture after the change of power, in 2021. On August 2, by the decree of the President of RA, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of RA to the USA.
