Yerevan was included among the most active foreign polling stations in the elections of Russian State Duma deputies. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this on "Vesti" news channel, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, Belgrade, Cyprus, Chisinau, Pyongyang, Phuket and Kazakhstan have also become leaders among foreign polling stations in terms of voter activity.
"Among the most active polling stations, Yerevan, Belgrade, Cyprus, Chisinau, Pyongyang, Phuket and Kazakhstan have become leaders," Zakharova said.
The diplomat noted that the participation of Russian voters abroad is "extremely high" this year.
He noted that the indicators exceed the dynamics of the previous elections.
The elections of deputies of the ninth convocation of the State Duma began on September 18 and will end on September 20. At the same time, other regional and municipal elections are being held in Russia.
On the day of the joint voting in 2026, it is planned to fill up about 20.7 thousand parliamentary mandates and elective positions.
