25 thousand of those forcibly displaced from Artsakh have registered jobs. the meeting of the Council attached to the Minister of Economic and Technological Development took place


On December 5, the regular meeting of the public council formed under the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia for the support of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh took place. It was chaired by the minister of TKE Davit Khudatyan.

As reported by the ministry, Davti Khudatyan welcomed the members of the council and expressed his belief that the consolidation of the efforts of the members of the council will lead to visible results and will be able to ensure an increase in the quality of life of the displaced compatriots.

2 issues were included in the agenda of the session. The first question to be reported referred to the state support programs for employment. The issue was presented by Ruben Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.

The second question referred to the current situation of the state support program for providing housing to families forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, which was reported by Anna Zhamakochyan.

Ruben Sargsyan, RA Deputy Minister of ASD, informed that at the moment, according to the data provided by the SRC, there are 25,000 registered displaced persons.

"There are currently two forms of employment provision through the Ministry of Education and Culture: through a direct employer and in the form of work practice and training," said the Deputy Minister of ASD of the Republic of Armenia.

Anna Zhamakochyan, RA Deputy Minister of ASR, speaking about the state support program for providing housing to families forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, noted that at the moment they are trying to improve it in several directions.

They refer to the surfaces of residential areas to be purchased and built, raising the threshold of the amount of land to be purchased for building a house, setting the minimum area of ​​the plot, as well as giving the beneficiaries of the second stage the opportunity to apply for the program if they are recognized as solvent.

Nelly Davtyan, the newly appointed head of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, also attended the council session.

The members of the Council expressed their views and suggestions on the reported issues.
