I regret to note that 32 employees have been dismissed. Avinyan, about the drivers' protest

"I promised to raise the wages of drivers, I kept my word. I did not make any other promises. The last discussions were about overtime payments, which I have confirmed, we will definitely provide them," Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced in an interview with the public television company.

"We promised to solve overtime work issues in accordance with the legislation. After 1-2 days, the drivers should have received the overtime money." According to Avinyan, tomorrow the buses will work in Yerevan.

"We may have a problem with frequency, but if necessary, we will go personally, sit in the cars and transport the passengers, and we will call people to transport the passengers," declared Avinyan.

According to him, the drivers are fired in order to establish a standard of behavior in "Yerevan Bus", which has not been implemented until now.

Calculating the trend of our collections, we see that the difference in that amount is quite large.

I am sorry to say that 32 employees have been dismissed. Do the oppositionists who directed this process understand that these people faced such a problem? In some cases, the necessary rigidity has no alternative. This was just that case.

"Yerevan bus" CJSC offers a very competitive salary. It's up to everyone to decide whether they want to stay and work as a driver or not," said Avinyan.
