The Russian Embassy in Armenia has made a note on the occasion of the 127th birthday of Marshal Hovhannes Kristapor Baghramyan, a two-time hero of the USSR.
"2024 On December 2, the 127th anniversary of the birth of the famous Soviet military commander, two-time hero of the Soviet Union, Marshal Hovhannes Kristapor Baghramyan was completed.
His name is forever associated with the strategic victories of the Great Patriotic War: the battle in the Kursk arc (July-August 1943), the Bagration operation for the liberation of the Belorussian SSR and part of the Lithuanian and Latvian SSRs (June-August 1944), and the capture of Königsberg ( April 1945).
The peoples of Russia and Armenia will never forget the contribution that Hovhannes Kristapori Baghramyan made to our common Victory against German Nazism in the Great Patriotic War."
