The USA will be able to organize a manned flight to Mars very soon. US President Donald Trump said this during his speech in the American capital on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence.
"We will go to Mars very soon. I think we will reach the moon and move on. And then we will go to Mars," said the American leader.
Trump reminded that on the initiative of his administration, during his first term as president, the US Space Force was created.
"Some were laughing, they thought it was stupid. And now they understand that it is one of the most important things we do. We were losing to China and Russia in space, and now we are ahead of them by huge steps," Trump claimed.
Jared Isaacman, head of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), announced in May that his agency intends to place an American habitation station on the moon by 2032. NASA representatives stated that on the Moon they expect to test the technologies that will allow a manned flight to Mars in the future. The department allowed that it could be organized until 2040.
