China's determination to develop relations with Iran is unwavering, said He Wei, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National Assembly (Parliament of China).
He Wei represented China at the memorial ceremony of the late Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei held in Tehran on July 3. During the visit, he met with the President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian. "In the 55 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Iran relations have shown stable and healthy development.
China's determination to develop relations with Iran remains unshakable, and the direction of China-Iran relations will not change," He Wei said, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry website published on Saturday.
The Chinese politician added that China is ready to cooperate with Iran to promote the stable and long-term development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
