German law enforcement agencies searched the apartment of a Ukrainian citizen suspected of being connected to the Monaco bombing, according to a joint press release of the Frankfurt Prosecutor's Office and the Hessen Criminal Police Office.
"On the basis of the preliminary information and the investigation carried out by the law enforcement agencies of Monaco, the connections with Hesse have been established. As part of a request for legal assistance, on Thursday, July 2, the Hessen police, including special forces, searched the rented apartment of a 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen in the Main-Taunus region," the statement said. It is reported that the woman is suspected of being an accomplice to the crime.
"The evidence has been confiscated and will be handed over to the Monaco authorities. Hessian security authorities are supporting the Monaco authorities during the investigation and are in close contact with them," the document emphasizes. The suspect of the Monaco explosion that injured Ukrainian oligarch Vadim Yermolaev, his companion and son left the government in a car with German license plates and traveled to Germany via France, Italy and other European countries, Morgan Raymond, the deputy prosecutor general of the government, announced on Friday.
