Additional anti-aircraft systems will soon be deployed on Latvia's borders with Russia and Belarus, Latvian Defense Minister Raivis Melnis told reporters.
"We are looking for solutions to secure the eastern border with additional radars and interceptor systems. We cannot 100% rule out the possibility of penetration by drones, but we will work to improve the anti-aircraft system to keep the sky safe," Melnis was quoted as saying by the LSM portal.
"Solutions for deploying additional air defense systems in the near future have already been found," the minister added.
