Spain's opposition leader has called for a state of emergency due to bad weather

The president of the Spanish opposition People's Party, Alberto Nunes Feiju, called for a state of emergency to be declared in the country due to the consequences of heavy rains and floods. As "TASS" reports, he said this in a conversation with journalists.

According to him, the opposition is ready to support the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's government to approve the emergency aid package for the victims of the disaster, as well as to request help from European institutions.

Last week, the highest level of weather danger was set due to flooding in a number of regions in the south and east of Spain. The Autonomous Community of Valencia suffered the most from the elements. At the moment, it is known about almost 220 victims as a result of the flood. The search for the missing persons continues.
