The "Our way" movement was quite smoothly and naturally transformed into the "Strong Armenia" party. Quite predictably, it was led by Samvel Karapetyan, a national philanthropist, criminally detained and persecuted by the authorities.
It should be noted that the official presentation of the "Strong Armenia" party that took place yesterday was really impressive. And not only in the sense that the party's presentation, and to put it more simply, the bid to participate in the upcoming national elections, was presented in the packed hall of the sports concert complex named after Karen Demirchyan.
In addition, an almost perfect organizational approach was noticed, in addition, "Strong Armenia", represented by its leader Samvel Karapetyan, presented itself with clear and understandable political and economic approaches.
It became obvious that a force is entering the political field and current election battle, which claims to become one of the main locomotives, to present systemic alternative approaches created from the most difficult situation. In a word, regardless of political or other preferences, even the government and near-government circles clearly saw that Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia" is not another opposition project, but a specific contender for power. And the fact that the ruling circles understood this before everyone else was wonderfully evident from their behavior and reactions, which we will refer to later.
The main message of "Strong Armenia" is very simple. the party presents itself as a "third way", not getting involved, so to speak, with the "formers", at the same time clearly rejecting the current authorities, their failed approaches, along with their consequences.
But most importantly, "Strong Armenia" presents itself to the country's public with completely understandable, clear proposals, especially in terms of national and value approaches, and even more so in economic terms. "The state of the economy can be described in 1 sentence. we are poor and stuck in debt," said Samvel Karapetyan in a video message published by the Armenian Democratic Party on the occasion of the party's presentation, outlining the steps by which it is possible to get Armenia and its people out of this weak and hopeless situation.
In short, the entry of "Strong Armenia" or the application submitted before the elections is quite impressive. It was assumed that the leader of the party would be nominated as the prime minister's candidate. Judging by the reactions, it was unexpected for many.
And the most unexpected, surely, was for the government. To the extent that immediately after the presentation of "Strong Armenia", even before the event was over, it is difficult to characterize the behavior of Pashinyan and his CP as anything other than general panic.
Although, why is it difficult? it was just pure panic. The authorities and the not-so-good people hit the "walls" of social networks with panicked posts. Such a reaction and panic of the authorities have their reasons, of course.
They saw what they had been trying to fail for half a year. It is an actor with serious resource and organizational potential in the political field, which can quickly unite many people. In addition, it comes on a positive image, moreover, it comes despite political repression, persecution, illegal expropriation and other governmental ugliness. And he comes with a clear political, economic, security agenda that is understandable to many.
It is led by a leader who has proven with his life and activities that he can do what he says. The review would not be complete if we bypassed the comical phenomenon when Pashinyan's CP and their satellites jumped... to defend the Constitution.
Or: "Samvel Karapetyan's data does not meet the requirements for the prime minister according to the Constitution... ...how can that be?" A number of lawyers and experts commented on how it is possible or possible. But let's put that aside.
Oh, who, who is speaking, dares to take off his hat and still utter the word "Constitution"? Those who have been trampling the same Constitution according to their whims for 8 years? They stood on their own torn Constitution with their feet muddy from the crimes and fat from the payment of rewards and are they talking about constitutionality? In other words, CP and Pashinyan know that not only there is a Constitution, but also that there are requirements in that "Mother Law".
And what is it, were they arbitrarily changing the composition of the CC in accordance with the Constitution, were the courts blocking the constitution, were they attacking the NA? According to the Constitution, did Pashinyan and CP cede the territories of Armenia to the enemy by "demarcation"? Did they give half of Goris-Kapan and Shurnukh to the enemy?
Or did they attack the Armenian Apostolic Church according to the Constitution? In fact, the Constitution categorically states that the government has no right to interfere in the autonomous affairs of the Church. And Pashinyan and CP have been grossly violating that clause of the Constitution for 10 months already.
So, who, but CP and satellites definitely have no place to talk about the Constitution. Yes, and perhaps the hoodlums were very upset that the Constitution of Armenia can be changed by the Armenian political forces, not Aliyev and, at the latter's request, the CP...
