India and the US are likely to complete preparations and sign a joint statement on a bilateral trade deal within 4-5 days, Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said at a press conference.

"The first phase of the bilateral trade agreement is almost ready. We hope to sign the joint statement within the next 4-5 days.

After the signing of the joint statement, the signing of the official agreement will take place, which is planned for approximately mid-March," he said.
