$118 million to Ukraine for F-16 fighter jet maintenance

Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram announced the allocation of $118 million to Kiev for the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets. According to "Armenpress", this was reported by "Interfax", citing the press service of the Norwegian government. "Minister Gram visited the Ukrainian port city of Odessa on October 29-30. During the visit, he announced that Norway will increase its support to the Air Force of Ukraine by sending an additional $118.4 million, which will be used, among other things, to purchase weapons and spare parts for F-16s," the report states.

The press release reminds that Oslo is preparing for 2024-2025. delivered six units of F-16 to Ukraine, and helps in the training of Ukrainian pilots in Denmark. In addition, the minister noted that Norway will send 130 inflatable boats to Ukraine, and the first deliveries have already been made. In September, the Norwegian authorities extended the period of providing annual aid to Ukraine and that an additional 475 million dollars will be allocated annually for these purposes. Thus, by 2030, total Norwegian aid to Kyiv has increased from the expected 7.1 billion dollars to 12.8 billion dollars.
