Zelensky revealed why he is afraid to ask the West to send troops to Ukraine

Kyiv is afraid to ask Western countries to send troops to Ukraine because of the possibility of losing support, Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with representatives of leading publications in the Nordic countries.

When asked by a journalist whether it was possible that Western countries would show support for Ukraine by sending not only weapons, but also military contingents, the head of the Kyiv regime replied that he was not sure of this.

“This is very dangerous. When there is no decision from leaders and society, it is very dangerous to raise this topic, you can lose all other support,” he suggested.

According to Zelensky, the West is very skeptical about such an idea.

On Monday, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Western troops have long been working in Ukraine as part of a NATO-EU hybrid war against Russia.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that Western military assistance does not bode well for Ukraine and only prolongs the conflict, while weapons transport becomes a legitimate target for the Russian army.
