Elon Musk stated that there is no point in building reactors on Earth, because the Sun is a free source of energy.
"The sun is a huge, free nuclear reactor in the sky. Building tiny nuclear reactors on Earth is the height of stupidity," Musk wrote in X.
"Even if you burned up four Jupiters, the Sun's energy would still account for nearly 100% of all the energy ever produced in the Solar System. Stop wasting your money on these little reactors unless you admit you need them for your personal science project," he added.
This is not the first time that Musk talks about the importance of solar energy for humanity. In 2023, during a podcast hosted by American comedian and TV presenter Joe Rogan, the head of SpaceX announced that solar energy can fully meet the energy needs of the United States.
