The Moscow City Court confirmed the legality of the court's decision to terminate the administrative proceedings related to the restriction of calls in Telegram and WhatsApp messaging applications, reports the press service of the Moscow Courts of General Jurisdiction.
At the end of December, the Tagansk District Court of Moscow received the lawsuit of Konstantin Larionov, representing the interests of more than 100 people, with the demand to cancel the call restrictions. The court then dismissed the case, ruling that Larionov did not have the right to file a lawsuit on behalf of the owners of the messaging apps.
As a result of the appeal, the court upheld the decision of the Tagansk court. "The appellate board of administrative affairs upheld the court's decision," the press service noted.
Recall that in August 2025, Roskomnadzor limited voice calls in foreign messaging applications, citing the need to fight fraud and WhatsApp's non-compliance with Russian legislation.
