The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has struck dozens of strikes against Iran since the beginning of the Middle East conflict, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing sources.
UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Khalifa bin Shahin al-Marar announced on May 15 that the UAE rejects Iran's accusations of participating in aggression against the country.
"The United Arab Emirates carried out dozens of airstrikes against Iran in the early days of the war, continuing even after the announcement of a ceasefire in April," the publication reported, citing sources.
The publication emphasizes that the strikes were carried out in coordination with US and Israeli intelligence, and that among the targets were the islands of Qeshm and Abu Musa in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as several petrochemical complexes.
