Remains of 12 million years old mysterious animal have been found in Peru

Peruvian archaeologists have discovered a unique finding, a prehistoric guinea pig, which is about 12 million years old. The 3.5-meter-length fossil was found in July in Okukach's desert, about 350 kilometers south of Lima, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Roughly 3.5 meters long was found in July. The discovery made an archaeologist Mario Urbina, which is known for its Pisco formation, which is known for its well-preserved sea fossils.

The rare pattern belongs to Pisco Formatsi, which is known around the world with its exceptionally well-preserved sea remnants.

"Such excellent maintenance allows us to study how this animal floated, what he has eaten and how long it has lived," said archaeologist Mario Gamaran.

Okukache Desert has long been considered a paradise of fossil hunters. The skeletons of the dwarfs, dolphins, sharks and other oceans of other people from 5 to 23 million years were found here.
