It has been found that the fatty diet has a dangerous effect

Scientists from the National Cancer Research Center (CNIO) have found that the fat diet contributes to the metastasticization of breast cancer in mice. The results of the study were published in Nature Communications (Natcom).

Many cancer cells need to be removed from the primary tumor, to go through blood, sit down and multiply in another organ. According to scientists, sometimes the primary tumor sends "scouts", molecules that change the target organ and prepare the nesting cells focused on the tumor cells. This accumulation is called "Pre-Estate Lichen" in which metastases are most often formed.

The new study shows that excess fat in the diet can accelerate this process. Scientists have found that mice with breast cancer in fat diet creates pre-accumulated niches in the lungs. During the experiment, it became clear that fat increases the activity of platelets and blood coagulation. In addition, such nutrition activates the fibronectitis, protein, which "gluing" is the cells of the lung tissue.

It turned out that the cancer cells separated from the prior tumors were surrounded by large-scale platforms. Researchers believe that platelets are "armor" around the tumor cells, preventing the immune system effectively recognized and destroyed them.

A similar effect is taking place not only in mice, but in people with breast cancer, there is a high risk of a recurrence of obesity or blood clarification in five years.
