Iranian Foreign Minister Syria Special Envoy Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheibani said that Tehran received messages from Damascus, Mehr writes.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is indirectly maintained by Damascus, and we also receive messages," said Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheiban. "We are closely following the events in Syria and at the right moment we will make our decision," he added.
"Of course, stability and peace are of special importance to us in Syria, and we are against any foreign intervention in this country's affairs," he said.
Reaffirming their continued respect and loyalty to Syria's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, both sides emphasized the importance of international efforts to establish stability in that country.
They also stressed their belief that the internal problems in Syria must be resolved by the Syrian Parties with the participation of all political, ethnic and religious currents.
