The "Past" daily writes: Recently, the trends observed in the socio-economic life of Armenia are already crossing the border of local grievances, turning into a deep, systemic crisis.
Tomato growers blocking highways, fish farmers protesting in front of the government building, and representatives of various branches of agriculture are sending a clear signal: businessmen who have suffered huge losses as a result of the sanctions applied against Russia are gradually starting to come out on the streets. The farmer and the producer are standing in front of a broken trough, when the disruption of traditional sales markets, logistic increases and insurmountable export barriers directly affect their livelihood and existence.
While the crisis in the fields, greenhouses and farms deepens day by day, a completely different, parallel reality prevails in the official rhetoric. The authorities announce with obvious false carelessness that the flower market of the United Arab Emirates has opened for us, or that European countries are eagerly waiting for Armenian fruits and vegetables.
However, behind this hollow official enthusiasm, symbolic, pitiful dimensions are hidden. In reality, the consignments arriving in Europe are special or at best experimental in nature and do not in any way replace the traditional volumes of consumption of thousands of tons. Moreover, the problems of automating logistics and providing system solutions are coming to the surface and becoming more visible. It is clear that without calculated logistics and real prerequisites, fairy tales about "European markets" are just PR theses. And here the most natural rhetorical question arises. if everything is so good, then why is everything so bad?
It is also obvious that these social problems will deepen minute by minute, because this is just the beginning.
The authorities managed to drag out the election period with unquoted "wills" and false promises, but political manipulations have a clear expiration date. When a person feels the real disaster on the contents of his own pocket and refrigerator, social upheavals will inevitably begin in the country. And if the authorities think that they can prevent or silence every social upheaval through political repression, then it is a dangerous self-deception.
The economic crisis is not solved by force and arrest. the situation already requires direct surgical interventions in matters of economic organization, foreign trade management and revision of logistics chains.
