"Zhoghovurd" newspaper writes: "Former Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly, ordinary MP from the Civil Contract party Andranik Kocharyan does not come to terms with his new status in the parliament. Since the start of the new parliament's work, Kocharyan seems to be trying to emphasize that he does not identify himself with the other MPs of the Civil Contract faction, preferring to act separately and with his own agenda. The latest manifestation of this, in essence, was noted yesterday—on October 27.
While the MPs of the Civil Contract faction together visited the monument dedicated to the victims of October 27 located in the parliament yard and laid flowers, Andranik Kocharyan arrived first, registered at the National Assembly, and then quickly left.
He had gone to the "Yerablur" military pantheon, while the Civil Contract faction had collectively laid flowers near the memorial in the National Assembly garden. Last year he joined the Civil Contract group first, then went to Yerablur. According to information from ruling circles, Kocharyan has recently been expressing dissatisfaction with the work of both the Civil Contract faction, security agencies, and parliamentary committees. According to our sources, he complains in various environments that there is insufficient professionalism demonstrated within the state system and the parliament. At the root of all this, possibly, there is also personal dissatisfaction.
Losing the position of committee chairman has deprived Kocharyan of the influence he had in the previous parliament. Now he continues working as an ordinary MP, which is undesirable for Kocharyan." Details in today's issue of "Zhoghovurd" newspaper.
